My Dog Bear
by Deborah René Gallagher
I have a dog named Bear
We run and play all day,
But when his bath time comes
My Bear runs away.
I see him peeping 'round the fence
And then he's gone again.
He's here, he's there, he's everywhere
But he knows I'm going to win.
I finally get him in the tub
With soap and brush in hand
But just as things are going swell
He jumps and runs again.
He looks so very funny
With soap from head to toe
But he finally lets me catch him
Then back to the tub we go.
